Generation 10 · On the path to Rebecca Hardy
Bela Nagy
No citation is recorded for this person. That means undocumented, not doubtful — the person was on the 2010 chart and has been neither confirmed nor refuted since.
Bela Nagy is a piano teacher in the line behind Jody Graves. No dates or nationality are included here, but Bela’s place in the lineage is direct: Bela is one of Jody’s five recorded teachers and therefore part of the group of people immediately behind Rebecca’s own teacher.
Bela’s teacher is Ernst von Dohnányi, and Bela’s student is Jody. That pair of links gives the branch a clear shape. Dohnányi stands behind Bela, Bela’s teaching continues into Jody, and Jody’s work then continues to Rebecca.
Bela’s page is intentionally modest about everything outside that line. What it can say with confidence is that Bela is not an isolated name: Bela is a connecting point between Dohnányi’s generation and the personal teaching relationship that reaches Becky.
